When they stumble across the body of Bishop Lamont in the woods, Cassandra knows her father put it there. They conceal the corpse, but when it gets washed out by the floods, there are mob demonstrations. Cass and Ming are pursued; Ming vanishes but Cass escapes and finally learns the truth about the Bishop’s death and the fate of her ‘infidel lover’ – and it is Cass who finally delivers justice to the Bishop’s killer.
