Temptation gets the better of Logan when his friend Benedict tries to start a game of tag in the library. Logan gets caught – by an old man who doesn’t seem like a normal librarian – who throws a handful of magic dust in his face. Now Logan’s in big trouble wherever he goes, because he’s out of control, talking in puns. To break the curse, he must solve riddles involving words and grammar, but will he have enough time to complete the task or will his detention keep him punished forever?

Punished! is a really funny, entertaining short novel that shows how words and grammar are used in everyday situations.

The touching story of a boy with two passions in life – playing baseball and caring for the stray dogs he takes in. When a red stain appears on an alley wall, and Larry’s little brother meets a dog who, unusually, won’t let him get near, he must unravel the mystery. Readers will warm to the poignant relationship between Larry and his brother Paul, as well as Larry’s love of baseball and dogs. The satisfying solution to this gentle mystery is unexpected, well-thought out and will keep reluctant readers turning the pages to the end.
