We provide a complete rights service to literary agents, handling the submission, negotiation, contracts, payments, and royalties for their books. With an unparalleled network of contacts in the children’s publishing industry, we are able to offer global rights coverage. We are happy to read titles before a primary publisher is contracted and advise on rights potential in different territories.

Publishers

We offer a full rights service to publishing houses who don’t have an in-house rights department and who don’t want to rely on a scattered network of different subagents in every territory. We work very closely with our publisher clients to maximise the international sales potential of their books.

We also offer publishers a selection of some of the best fiction for children from around the world. Many publishers would love to be able to publish a more diverse list of books, but lack the resources, languages and time to be able to fully consider texts for translation. Rights People not only selects the best fiction on offer from different publishers around the world, but we provide translation samples and are able to facilitate the translation process on behalf of the publisher. We can also assist in finding and applying for grants and subsidies available for works in translation.
