Welcome to Rights People, the rights agency which was started in January 2006 to represent children’s fiction from around the world. We’re a small, dedicated team here and our goal is find the right publishers for the books we love – all around the globe. We work with a small number of clients (so that we never have more books than we can handle) in the UK, the US, and abroad to bring their books to as wide an audience as possible

We believe that children benefit from reading books from different countries and cultures and at Rights People, we strive to make the excellent fiction that’s available accessible to young readers everywhere.

Between us, we have many years experience selling rights in children’s books to and on behalf of some of the most successful children’s publishers in the industry.

Our sales approach is a personal one. We aim to find the best home for every book we represent and we provide a comprehensive service to all our clients. Because we sell directly in nearly every market, we are a one-stop shop for rights services. We do work with a trusted network of reliable subagents in Japan, China and Korea.

Rights People is a full service rights agency based in London, UK.
We regularly attend the book fairs in London, Bologna, Frankfurt and make several trips a year to the US.
We sell directly to publishers in most territories, and work with trusted subagents in China, Japan and Korea. Our clients include publishers and literary agents in the UK, the US and Europe.
